Writer & Creative

About me

I’m Izzy, a St. Louis-born, Chicago-residing writer and creative.

Since I self-published my first newspaper on neon green paper in third grade (a creative decision I stand by to this day), I’ve been dedicated to honing my craft and manifesting my inner world onto the page.

I am a graduate of the University of Missouri where I studied Sociology and Journalism and of the ilovecreatives creative copywriting course.

My writing has been featured in Voxx Magazine, The New York Times, SPIN magazine, Waveland Newsletter, among others. I also write Dreamworld— a publication dedicated to those who spend more time in a world of their own creation than in reality.

In my work as a copywriter, I believe in the power of precision to tell a compelling story that welcomes modern like a friend. My copy embraces the multi-dimensional humanity of the reader, with a conversational yet sharp approach to storytelling. I utilize the language of the social media zeitgeist to construct a story that says, “I see you.”

In my free time, I can be found spinning one of the records in my extensive collection, traveling to a small midwestern town, or scouring the bins for my latest vintage obsession.

I strive to write clean, clever copy that welcomes a modern audience like a friend. My work embraces the multi-dimensional humanity of the reader, with a conversational yet sharp approach to storytelling.
